Blast Pro Series Copenhagen 2019 Recap

The ever-growing Blast Pro Series made its way to Copenhagen this past weekend. Six teams were in attendance with a $250,000 prize pool up for grabs. With the unique format of this event, every game was crucial.

Blast Pro Series Copenhagen Format

    • Single Round-Robin format group
    • All matches are Bo1
    • Top two teams advance to the Grand Final
  • Grand Final
    • Match is a Bo3 series
  • BLAST Pro Standoff
    • The BLAST Pro Standoff is a prize bonus showmatch, with five 1v1 aim duels.
    • The team finishing in 3rd place chooses their opponent from the remaining teams who finish below them.
    • The winner of the BLAST Pro Standoffs takes home a $20,000 USD bonus prize.

Grand Final

With just two teams advancing from groups and it goes straight to the grand final, both FaZe and NiP only had a couple of hours to prepare for their game. When they met the in group stage, FaZe blow NiP out of the water, 16-3.

Things were much different in the final. The opening map was a back and forth content which resulted in an overtime where FaZe edged out on top 19-17. The overtime momentum definitely swung in FaZe’s favour and helped them pull off a 16-12 win on the second map. This meant FaZe took the series 2-0 and were crowned your Blast Pro Series Copenhagen 2019 Champions.
