Match: Fnatic vs NiP (StarSeries & i-League Season 7) | Format: Best of 3 | Prediction: NiP to win | Odds: 1.91 | Bookmaker: GG.Bet | Match start: 2019-03-30 09:00 GMT +1

Two CS:GO legends will meet in the opening round of the league. Both are trying to build to their former stature, both overcoming issues, and inconsistencies. This could very well be a treat for all CS:GO fans.

2019 hasn’t been great for Fnatic, but they’re doing the best to claw it back. They looked promising at iBUYPOWER in January to kick off 2019. They placed 3rd-4th after getting knocked out by Liquid in 2-1 loss.

Then Katowice was a disaster. They failed to make it through the Challengers stage, getting knocked out with a 1-3 record. They were unable to win against ViCi, Winstrike and G2. This left them with a placing of 20th-22nd, a real disappointment for the team, the organisation, and their fans.

Now they have another opportunity to start rebuilding the respect and legacy that they once had in CS:GO.

Ninjas in Pyjamas

They’re still missing their fan favourite, Dennis. However, their substitute Draken has been playing incredibly well and at times brings in a breath of fresh air. They’ve attended two events so far in 2019. They found themselves in a quarter-final at Katowice but got dismantled by Astralis.

Then they went to Blast Pro Series in Sao Paulo this month and showed some promise but ultimately struggled. They finished with a 2-3 record. Their losses came against Astralis, ENCE, and Liquid. Who are arguably the three best teams in Counter-Strike right now.

I expect Ninjas in Pyjamas to win this series. Their only issue is that they can be so inconsistent from map to map, that I can see it going down to the wire. That’s why I think putting a bet on the total maps could be the smartest move.

I think it’ll definitely go to the last map. You can pick up odds of 1.91 for it to go to the third map. It’s the most enticing betting option on this matchup.
