Match Preview

The group of death at the League of Legends World Championship 2019 will likely come down to this. The outcome of the RNG vs SKT matchup earlier in the day could have a heavily emphasis on the weight of this match.

It’s fair to say the former Worlds finalists haven’t had a start that they would have hoped for. They find themselves sitting 1-2 with their backs against the wall following losses to both RNG and SKT. They have a chance to turn this around in one day of action.

There is a strong likelihood that this match will determine who takes 2nd seed in this group. Depending on other results throughout the day, there are also a couple of tiebreaker scenarios up in the air. Fnatic will need to win all 3 matches tomorrow to put themselves in the best position.

Their opening match of the day will have a huge impact on this game. They could very well be playing to secure a tiebreaker for 1st alongside SKT. However, they could also find themselves fighting to not land in a tiebreaker for 2nd with Fnatic.

With how the records sit right now, there is heavy favouritism towards RNG and their ability to make it out of the group at a minimum. I believe Uzi will need to have an elite performance in all 3 matches in order to RNG to have the best chance of survival.

The odds and predictions aren’t in Fnatic’s favour right now, however, I think they’ll come out on top here. Fnatic has shown in the past they can make these comebacks in tournaments and redeem themselves. You can get 2.87 odds for a Fnatic win against RNG.
