The 4th match of the New Legends Stage will be the battle between these two teams. Team Liquid have the experience and performance to go all the way in Berlin, but how will CR4ZY counter Liquid’s ability to take their first European Major experience even further.
Having made their way through a tough European Minor Championship, topping their Group and gaining entry through the losers final, CR4ZY have made great progress in the Berlin Major so far.
Having faced teams like mousesports and North in the Minor, they have reacted well to the challenges of Grayhound, FURIA and DreamEaters to get to where they are now.
Liquid are a different kind of challenge and a quick start and a strong VETO will be important as Liquid can quickly take advantage of lesser prepared teams.
After a streak of victories, Liquid are looking strong, possibly the best in world. This NA roster hasn’t played in Berlin so far so it’s hard to judge how they are performing at this exact moment. But based on recent results, CR4ZY will be up against the odds.
I think that after comfortably beating Vitality at ESL One Cologne as well as 3-0ing ENCE at IEM XIV in Chicago just last month, Liquid will want to win the Major and cement their status at the top of Counter-Strike.
Liquid are comfortable on a range of maps and adapt well in high-pressure situations, so CR4ZY will have to do something dynamic to gain an advantage against this NA supergroup.
Liquid are the clear favourites for this BO1. Their recent performances highlight their ability to produce results and generate momentum in a LAN environment. Due to the stacked nature of this match, the outright odds aren’t great so an accumulator or other option may be the best way to take advantage of this game.
The odds are Liquid 1.80 (-4.5) at Betway. If Liquid win by 5 rounds or more, you gain a higher return.
