Natus Vincere vs G2 Prediction 08/28 » StarLadder Major 2019

[ft_boxes box_style=’info’ ]Match: Na’Vi vs G2 (StarLadder 2019) | Format: Best of 1 | Prediction: Na’Vi -3.5 (map 1 handicap) | Odds: 2.08 | Bookmaker: GG.Bet | Match start: 28 AUG, 19:30 +02:00 [/ft_boxes]

Round 1 of Group Play for the Berlin Major will see these two giant teams take on each other.  Na`Vi have the experience and the individual skill to win a Major, but it hasn’t happened for them yet. G2 are in a strange position, they aren’t considered contenders for the title but they are sure to give Na`Vi a bit of trouble in this BO1.

This French team has had some roster changes over the past 2 years, but seem to be settling in well. They’ve picked up some quality results within the New Challengers Stage, beating Tyloo and DreamEaters in BO1s and then beating ForZe 2-0 in a BO3.

Overall, they finished 3rd in the New Challengers Stage after losing a BO3 with Mousesports. This is the worry for G2 coming into this game as I feel that Na`Vi are a more challenging opponent than Mousesports. This makes the match a tough one for G2 and if the Na`Vi superstars are firing strong; they could end up taking a heavy loss.

Na`Vi are 1 of 8 teams in the Current Legends category for the StarLadder Berlin Major. They gained this slot from their standing at the previous Major in Katowice.

The individual ability of the players on Na`Vi is insanely high. S1mple is still considered one of, if not, the best players in Counter-Strike. The addition of Boombl4 in replace of Edward may give the Ukranian side the extra firepower and ability to gain them the Major that the players are desperate to achieve.

I think that Na`Vi will not want to repeat what has happened to them in previous events, taking a slow start and not performing to a level that they are capable of. They will need to show that they can take down G2 and work towards that Major title.

The odds are swaying in favour of Na`Vi in this match, it’s clear that everyone expects a good start from the CIS roster. GG.BET has Na`Vi at 2.08 with a (–3.5) handicap, meaning that Na`Vi have to win by 4 rounds for these odds to return, a good option in my view.
