Navi vs Faze IEM Katowice 2019

[ft_boxes box_style=’info’ ]Match: Na’Vi vs FaZe (IEM Katowice 2019 Champions Stage) | Prediction: Na’Vi to win the match | Odds: 1.55 | Bookmaker: Betway | Match start: 2019-03-01 15.00 GMT +1[/ft_boxes]

Their runs so far

Na’Vi started their run in this tournament in the Legends Stage last week. They finished with a 3-1 record and were one of the first teams to qualify into Champions Stage. They kicked things off against G2 where they won 16-7 in a considerably 1-sided match.

Next up was Vitality. The match went into triple overtime, and Na’Vi eventually came out on top with a 25-22 win. This put them in a great position. They faced off against Team Liquid in the first Advancement Round. Na’Vi were handed their first loss of the tournament in a tightly contested 2-0 series.

Advancement Round 2 was next for them, where they met Avangar. They made no mistake this time, taking advantage of the underdog team, picking up a 2-0 win and securing their place in Champions Stage.

Faze didn’t have quite as comfortable a journey as NaVi. They also started their run in Legends Stage, where they dismantled Hellraisers 16-4 in their opening game. Their form dropped after this, and they suffered upset losses to both Renegades and Avangar. FaZe now found themselves holding a measly 1-2 record with their tournament lives on the line.

They had a surprisingly close battle against Cloud9 in Elimination Round 2. They even found themselves 1-0 down in the series. Thankfully for many fans, they were able to claw their way back into the series and win.

Their final game of Legends was against Cloud9, potentially the biggest elimination series of the tournament. It started close but FaZe found their stride and were able to take the series 2-0 in the end.

Recommended Bets

With how close the games in Champions Stage are likely to be, it can be hard to find good odds on direct match winners. I’ve picked out a couple of alternative bets. You can get attractive 4.75 odds for Map 1 to go into Overtime.

A Map Handicap bet could potentially go in your favour in this series. You can get 2.40 odds on NaVi to win with a -1.5 handicap.

I think NaVi are going to come out on top and advance to the semi-final. They’ve shown more consistently through the tournament. FaZe have also had a lot of slow starts, and a team like NaVi will take advantage of this more than previous opponents.
