Unikrn review 2020

Unikrn is an esports betting and news media company based in North America. They offer a wide range of games titles to place bets on as well as offering small gambling games. This review will cover everything you need to know about Unikrn; the pros and cons, their betting odds and much more.

Conclusion

All in all, Unikrn definitely has a place in the world of esports betting and gambling. Despite the issues that may occur for some users regarding payments options, they make up for this by covering more esports titles than many competitors and allowing users to gather their unique platform currency for free.

If the customer service could become 24/7 Unikrn could become a favourite option for many users.

Pros

  • Wide range of esports titles and sporting betting options
  • Unikrn Connekt
  • Daily jackpots
  • Earn points & use them in the shop

Cons

  • Customer service isn’t 24/7
  • quite a few restricted countries

Insight & history of Unikrn

Unikrn was founded back in November 2014 with the primary goal of offering real money and token-based wagering on esports (competitive video games). In 2016 Unikrn became the first betting operator to join and support the development of the Esports Integrity Coalition.

With Unikrn licensed to provide real-money betting on esports in both the UK and Australia, they also received its gambling license from the Isle of Man in October 2018 allowing them to operate within countries with allowance for legalised gambling. These countries include the United States, parts of Europe, Asia, Latin America and South Korea.

Available markets & features

Esports fanatics will be thrilled to know that Unikrn offer markets in a surreal number of games and titles. They offer betting options across 22 different esports titles, including all the favourites like League of Legends, CS:GO, Call of Duty and many more. Most users will be able to place bets on their favourite games through Unikrn.

Unikrn also offer a different and unique feature on their platform called Connekt, you can learn more aboutthat below.

Connekt

Unikrn offer an incredibly unique and fascinating feature called Connekt. Connekt is a way for users to “earn free rewards every time you play top competitive game with Unikrn Connekt!”

Unikrn Connekt will allow users to earn “UKG”, a form of currency for their platform essentially. This UKG can be used to place bets on a range of titles. It can also be used in the Unikrn Shop or the Unikrn Jackpots, more info on the Jackpots below.

How to sign up

The sign up process for Unikrn is similar to other platforms and relatively easy. All you need to do is enter an email and password, your date of birth and agree to the terms and conditions. Then your account will be up and running, ready to place bets and earn rewards.

How to place a bet

Once again, this process will be easy for those experienced with esports betting but even those new to the world of gambling will be able to pick it up quickly. You simply select the esports title you’re interested in and then every game taking place will be shown.

Users can pick and choose which games to place bets on, with the options to bet on a singular game or pick outcomes on multiple and build an accumulator. It’s important to note that there are typically more options that just the outright winner which as always worth considering.

How to claim a bonus

Step 1 – Decide your bet/wager:

In order to select your desired bet, simply click on the name of the team you predict to win (their odds will be beside their name). If you wish to add more bets to create an accumulator, just repeat this process.

Step 2 – Choose your stake:

We recommend reviewing your bet slip to ensure that everything you have selected is correct. Once you are happy with your bets, enter in the amount of money you wish to wager in the available box.

Step 3 – Confirm your bet slip:

Once again, check over your entire bet slip to make sure that you have selected the correct bets. If you’re happy with all the selected bets and the amount you have enter for your stake, simply click the “Place Bets” button and your bet will be confirmed.

If you have a potential bonus that can be claimed, it should automatically be applied or claimed after upon completing the bet.

Promotional offers

At different times users will potentially be able to make use of promotional offers on Unikrn. Sometimes these offers are for signing up and getting credits or a small bonus. At other times this will be money back bets for example. There are a wide range of options for promotional offers, we always recommend keeping an eye out for these.

The first promotional offer you will see and be able to claim is the 5 free UKG on offer for all new users that sign up. Currently you can get 1000 Bonus UKG for free when you sign up and create a wallet using TRX.

Wagering requirements on a Deposit Bonus:

  • Once a bonus offer has been triggered, users will need to activate it by heading into the “Available Funds” section of the navigation bar. From here you can choose how you would like to split your bonus. Splitting applies to both FIAT & UKG Bonus Offers
  • The bonus balance is required to be turned over once on odds greater than 1.50. All winnings, excluding the stake, will then be paid into a withdrawable balance.
  • This means the original deposit and bonus must be turned over before a user can withdraw. Once you have reached your 1x turnover requirement, an users account balance is no longer subject to any further wagering requirements.
  • When placing a bet, users must select if they want to place the bet with their cash balance or any bonuses that they may have in their account.

Customer Service

Unfortunately, Unikrn currently don’t offer 24/7 customer service but the times are still respectable and will be useful for majority of users. From Monday to Friday they are open from 07:00 – 23:00 UTC, however are closed on both Saturday & Sunday.

With many events and big matches taking place over the weekend this could become an issue but they do have a Discord Community which may be able to help with some questions and queries.

Payment Options

Like their customer service decision, their payment options will be a questionable area for some users. Visa and Mastercard are the two offered payment options for those wanting to deposit with cash. In some cases, there are bank transactions available, but this isn’t guaranteed.

Users should note that only UK & Australian residents will be able to do cash deposits. To our surprise, they currently don’t offer popular payment methods that have become standard across the gambling industry, such as eWallets or prepaid cards. This means you would be unable to use Skrill, Neteller or Paysafecard.

Unikrn is licensed to provide real-money betting on esports in the UK and Australia. As of October 2018, the company has received its gambling license from the Isle of Man, allowing them to operate online esports gambling within countries with allowance for legalized gambling, which will include the United States, South Korea, and parts of Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

The following countries will be unable to use Unikrn’s services:

Afghanistan, Angola, Belarus, Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burma/Myanmar, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Rep, Chad, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Cuba, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique, North Korea, Pakistan, Sudan, Sweden, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkey, Ukraine, Virgin Islands, Zimbabwe
